Into the mind of a Viking Wench….

We all know how much the @BillsBelles love Bill Compton, Stephen Moyer, and @VampireBill, but there are another breed of ladies out there riding on a different ship. The Viking Ship. Is their love for Eric Northman, Alexander Skarsgård, and @EricNorthman really so different from the love we profess? I took some time out to talk with @sumerbreez and see what makes these ladies tick. She let me into the mind of one of the most outspoken Viking Wenches I have had the pleasure of following on Twitter. Who knows, between the two of us, we may be able to bridge the gap between our two ships and learn to appreciate both of these Vampires. What am I saying? NAAAAH!

Personal Bio: I am married to a wonderful boytoy. Yes, that’s correct, I am a cougar!  But what brings me my most pleasure is admiring @EricNorthman.  I am not your typical sci-fi chick but rather very appreciative of the amazing acting on True Blood.  I originally discovered True Blood when a friend asked me to watch it with her so she would have someone to talk to about the show. I was rather disinterested but watched because I promised. After the first show, I was hooked. My only past with vampires was a mellow crush on Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then a pseudo-crush on Spike, but never what I felt when I found True Blood. From the moment that I saw Vampire Bill in that booth in Merlottes, I was hooked. Toward the end of Season 1, I was becoming more and more interested in Eric Northman. He had this amazing way of saying the simplest statement filled with wanton lust!  So as the season came to a close, I discovered the True Blood Fan Wiki and discovered that it was based on an actual book series.  I was dying to know what was going to happen, so I purchased the 1 – 7 book set and began my journey! Soon I was crushing on Eric without regard for my initial feelings for Bill. I devoured the books like I had this unquenchable thirst. But you know me… I am unruly and obsessive , at times! *winks*

What brought you to Twitter?: While I have had my Twitter account since July 2007, I rarely used it and when I did it was to read other people’s tweets.  During Season 1 I found Loving TrueBlood in Dallas and eventually followed her on Twitter and then the madness truly began. One of the first characters I encountered on twitter was @SookieBonTemps and soon I found @VampireBill and @EricNorthman. My first buddy online was @blorio. She and I had so much fun during those early days. I suddenly felt like I was home! No really. I could be creative and interact with all kinds of people. I hadn’t been this excited since I found my first chatroom on AOL in ’93. But I digress.

Then I had my first Belle encounter, @smeykunz. I was having such fun chatting with her that I was almost afraid to tell her I was enamoured with @EricNorthman. But soon I was meeting such cool cats like @BubbaLives and @BillohBill (although it took me 2 months to figure out she was BoB!!!) and I was enthralled by the Belles. Of course the first time @VampireBill called me Miss Maria, I had a #SecretTwitterCrush that still won’t go away!

How did you choose your @ name?: sumerbreez has been around since ’93. She was my first screenname on AOL and she’s been with me ever since. We have a pretty awesome relationship! I’m the voice of reason and she’s my inner child who gets to indulge herself wantonly.

Do you prefer to be called Viking Vixens or Wenches? I have seen both on the stream: Well… I consider myself an active and loyal member of the #vikingwenches!

What about Eric Northman makes him your go-to Vamp?: I think his matter-of-fact demeanor is intriguing. At times he lacks the charm and polish that he otherwise exudes like my grandma’s perfume on a Sunday morning. I was curious about Eric throughout Living Dead in Dallas and Club Dead but I was completely captivated by Eric in Dead to the World. I have always felt that he gets Sookie.

The Belles have @BillsBelles, the blog, the shop, etc. Do the Viking Wenches have anything like this?: We do have a few places to go adore @EricNorthman.  There is @ssbookclub’s blog She provides original content along with links to all the Viking paraphernalia you could want! What’s your favorite @VampireBill moment?: The first time I saw him online was pretty earth shattering, but it was when he called me Miss Maria that I became so enchanted that I almost forgot how to spell @EricNorthman but I did say almost I’ve heard though that once you go Northman you never go back!

Really? I’ve never heard that. Sorry, getting back on track…..

Do you have a favorite @character?: Well I love the main folks like @SookieBonTemps, @EricNorthman, @VampireBill, & @Pam_atFangtasia but one of my very favorite @ characters is @FangtasiaGinger. No matter what has happened in my day, she is guaranteed to make me smile!

Any big plans on the horizon for the @EricNorthman Devotion Center?: Yes, I want the @EricNorthman Devotion Center to be a place where everyone can go to worship. It shall, of course, have and area for @EricNorthman worship, but also you can link to your favorite True Blood Twitter character. We also have the blossoming True Blood Barbie Twitter Tuesday.
